BEST POEM IN THE WORLD

BEST POEM IN THE WORLD

I was shocked, confused, bewildered
As I entered Heaven’s door,
Not by the beauty of it all,
Nor the lights or its decor.

But it was the folks in Heaven
Who made me sputter and gasp–
The thieves, the liars, the sinners,
The alcoholics and the trash.

There stood the kid from seventh grade
Who swiped my lunch money twice.
Next to him was my old neighbor
Who never said anything nice.

Bob, who I always thought
Was rotting away in hell,
Was sitting pretty on cloud nine,
Looking incredibly well.

I nudged Jesus, ’What’s the deal?
I would love to hear Your take.
How’d all these sinners get up here?
God must’ve made a mistake.

’And why is everyone so quiet,
So somber – give me a clue.’
’Hush, child,’ He said,
’they’re all in shock.

No one thought they’d be seeing you.’

JUDGE NOT!!

Remember…Just going to church doesn’t make you a
Christian any more than standing in your garage makes you a car.

Every saint has a PAST…
Every sinner has a FUTURE!

Do We Judge others by what we see?

A minister passing through his church
In the middle of the day,
Decided to pause by the altar
And see who had come to pray.

Just then the back door opened,
A man came down the aisle,
The minister frowned as he saw
The man hadn’t shaved in a while.

His shirt was kind a shabby
And his coat was worn and frayed,

The man knelt, he bowed his head,

Then rose and walked away.

In the days that followed,
Each noon time, this chap came.
Each time he knelt just for a moment,
A lunch pail in his lap.

Well, the minister’s suspicions grew,
With robbery a main fear,
He decided to stop the man and ask him,
’What are you doing here?’

Power in a Name

I heard that Brit Hume of Fox news spoke two unspeakable words on TV.

Have you heard about the ruckus that Brit Hume started while he was interviewing Tiger Woods?
It seems that everyone in the media has a comment to make about 2 words that Brit said.
No the words weren’t the “N” word or the “F” word, had it been either of those words the media most likely would have just made passing comments.

Child protection Obama’s way

I believe most of us that have children or grand children are very concerned about what and who they are exposed to. I just have such a hard time figuring out why in the world Obama appointed Kevin Jennings as the person to ensure the safety of our school children.

Kevin Jennings is the founder of the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN). Fox news discovered that this organization has been accused of visiting middle and high schools where spokespersons engage in explicit sexual discussions with students. GLSEN has also recommended an alleged pornographic reading list for underage students including frank descriptions and the glorification of adult-on-minor homosexual sex.

If all of this is true, which I trust Fox News more then the other networks on items like this because it seems the other networks are either in bed with Obama or afraid of him then I invite Jennings and the GLSEN to visit Obama’s children’s school.

Wasn’t it Kevin Jennings in a consulting had a young teen ager came to him telling Jennings of a homosexual encounter with an adult man and Jennings did not inform authorities but informed the teenager to make sure he wore protection.

Is this the type of safety Obama is giving our children?

Matthew 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 5: 20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.
////////////////////////////////////////////// Matthew 18: 2 And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them,

Matthew 18: 3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 18: 4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 18: 5 And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me.

Matthew 18: 6 But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

Aliens?

I was thinking, what is an Alien. We hear a lot lately about illegal aliens, but just what are they and how do they affect our country, seeing that most Americans are descendants from another country.

My wife’s mother was born in Italy, but when she died she was an American. Her family came to this great country not to be Italian-Americans, but to be Americans. They did not come to this great country of ours to change it, or to make it like where they came from. They came to be part of this great country. They wanted to be citizens and not aliens. They was willing to learn a new language, willing to adapt to the American way of life. In doing so they along with millions of immigrants from around the world has made this country great. They came to a land of freedom. They came to a land that was governed by the people and for the people.

Today we have people coming to our great country wanting to change it. I wonder why don’t they just stay where they are if they prefer that life. Maybe the life in America is as great as it is, because the founding fathers of this great nation set up some guidelines, some rules, some principles of government.
