A coming Perfect World

I was praying in my prayer closet, and Perhaps I was reminding God on just how bad this world is today, and it dawned on me, He knows it.
Then I started thinking what would the perfect world be like?  Would it be a world with no war, no corruption in government, would it be everyone helping each other without evil motives? Could this ever happen?

Memorial Day

Memorial day, the beginning of summer vacation time, backyard BBQ’s, long week-end off of work, and many more actions of relaxation.

But do you think of our men and women in harm’s way that may not see tomorrow?

Do you think of the men and women that gave their lives for this freedom we have to enjoy that long week-end or that BBQ with friends and family.

Have you prayed for our troops today? Did you remember them as you enjoyed your freedom? Read the rest of this entry »

National day of Prayer

First Amendment.txt

Please allow me to start off with this. Due to the recent decision by a Federal Appeals Court judge, the National Day of Prayer has come under attack. It seems most that are against the National Day of Prayer (or any government involvement in any religious activity) are using the First Amendment as the reasoning and the “Separation of Church and State” (which is not in the US Constitution or any of the Amendments, but in the writings of Thomas Jefferson).
First, let’s review the entire First Amendment:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
I am going to explain this amendment the best I can, though I only have “layman’s” knowledge and do not claim to be an expert in law or the constitution.

Day of Silence

The Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN) sponsered “Day of Silence” on April 16 is so dangerous to our young people and our nation. On that day thousands of public high schools and increasing numbers of middle schools will allow students to remain silent throughout an entire day-even during instructional time-to promote GLSEN’s socio-political goals and its controversial, unproven, and destructive theories on the
nature and morality of homosexuality.

The GLSEN is attempting to promote homosexuality as a safe nature lifestyle. They will not tell the students that over 50% of all new HIV infections are from male homosexual sex. Nor will they tell how the Red Cross will not accept blood from any person that has had homosexual sex due to the danger of STD infections.

The GLSEN is promoting to our young people deadly lifestyles.

Following is right from the CDC website. (MSM is male to male sex)

A Snapshot
t MSM account for nearly half of the more than one million people living with HIV in the U.S. (48%, or an estimated
532,000 total persons).
t MSM account for more than half of all new HIV infections in the U.S. each year (53%, or an estimated 28,700 infections).
t While CDC estimates that MSM account for just 4 percent of the U.S. male population aged 13 and older, the rate of
new HIV diagnoses among MSM in the U.S. is more than 44 times that of other men (range: 522–989 per 100,000
MSM vs. 12 per 100,000 other men).
t MSM is the only risk group in the U.S. in which new HIV infections are increasing. While new infections have
declined among both heterosexuals and injection drug users, the annual number of new HIV infections among MSM
has been steadily increasing since the early 1990s.

HIV is only one of many curses that awaits followers of the homosexual lifestyle.

Can a homosexual leave the homosexual lifestyle? YES! many have.

Can a homosexual be forgiven? YES! God is a forgiving God.

Life from Death

In our back yard we have a couple of apple trees. A few years ago all the conditions were just right and we had a bumper harvest of apples. As I look at those trees, I realize each tree springs up from a tiny seed. That tiny seed at one time was alive in an apple, in order to become a mighty fruit bearing tree that seed would have to die and be placed in the ground.

John 12:23 But Jesus answered them, saying, “The hour has come that the Son of Man should be glorified.

John 12:24 Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain.

We call today Good Friday, today we remember when the Son of God died on the cross for us. Sin brings forth death. Our sin and the sin of the world carries the penalty of death. (Rom.6:23)

The reason we can call today Good Friday is because He who had no sin of His own, paid for our sins by taking our place, paying for our sins. (2 Cor.5:21)

Today can be a Good day for you.
