Ground Zero Mosque

Does this mean the terrorist have won?

Has the New York community board surrendered?

On May 25 New York City community board voted to support a plan to build a mosque and cultural center near ground zero.

The Muslims want to dedicate it on the 10th anniversary of 9/11. Am I missing something or are they saying we won and here is proof.

Even to this day, I do not think we would set back and allow Japan build a Japanese cultural center and war memorial in Pearl Harbor.

Think for a moment what the Muslims will be presenting in that cultural center. Pictures of their victory I’m sure. Pictures of their heroes that have killed our people.

May God have mercy on our country.

2 Chron.7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Gaza reminds me of Cuba

Israel gets blamed for everything don’t they.

I guess if Israel tries to defend their country they are the bad guys.

As I remember right there was a time when the USSR was sending missiles to Cuba and the USA set up a blockade with threats of doing what Israel did.

Were we wrong?

Of course if Obama had been in office then he would have told Nikita “he was unhappy with those missiles”.

Israel has just as much right today to stop weapons going to Gaza as we had stopping missiles going to Cuba.

Memorial Day

Memorial day, the beginning of summer vacation time, backyard BBQ’s, long week-end off of work, and many more actions of relaxation.

But do you think of our men and women in harm’s way that may not see tomorrow?

Do you think of the men and women that gave their lives for this freedom we have to enjoy that long week-end or that BBQ with friends and family.

Have you prayed for our troops today? Did you remember them as you enjoyed your freedom? Read the rest of this entry »

National day of Prayer

First Amendment.txt

Please allow me to start off with this. Due to the recent decision by a Federal Appeals Court judge, the National Day of Prayer has come under attack. It seems most that are against the National Day of Prayer (or any government involvement in any religious activity) are using the First Amendment as the reasoning and the “Separation of Church and State” (which is not in the US Constitution or any of the Amendments, but in the writings of Thomas Jefferson).
First, let’s review the entire First Amendment:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
I am going to explain this amendment the best I can, though I only have “layman’s” knowledge and do not claim to be an expert in law or the constitution.

Do We Judge others by what we see?

A minister passing through his church
In the middle of the day,
Decided to pause by the altar
And see who had come to pray.

Just then the back door opened,
A man came down the aisle,
The minister frowned as he saw
The man hadn’t shaved in a while.

His shirt was kind a shabby
And his coat was worn and frayed,

The man knelt, he bowed his head,

Then rose and walked away.

In the days that followed,
Each noon time, this chap came.
Each time he knelt just for a moment,
A lunch pail in his lap.

Well, the minister’s suspicions grew,
With robbery a main fear,
He decided to stop the man and ask him,
’What are you doing here?’
