Don’t make the stones start shouting

As the end of His earthly ministry started drawing to fulfillment, Jesus began His triumphant entry into Jerusalem.

Luk 19:36 As he rode on, people spread their cloaks on the road.
Luk 19:37 When he came near Jerusalem, at the place where the road went down the Mount of Olives, the large crowd of his disciples began to thank God and praise him in loud voices for all the great things that they had seen:
Luk 19:38 “God bless the king who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven and glory to God!”
Luk 19:39 Then some of the Pharisees in the crowd spoke to Jesus. “Teacher,” they said, “command your disciples to be quiet!”
Luk 19:40 Jesus answered, “I tell you that if they keep quiet, the stones themselves will start shouting.”

* BIBLE HUMOR *

STORY OF ELIJAH
The Sunday school teacher was carefully explaining the story of Elijah the Prophet and the false prophets of Baal. She explained how Elijah built the altar, put wood upon it, cut a steer in pieces, and laid it upon the altar. And then, Elijah commanded the people of God to fill four barrels of water and pour it over the altar. He had them do this four times “Now, asked the teacher, “Can anyone in the class tell me why the Lord would have Elijah pour water over the steer on the altar?” A little girl in the back of the room started waving her hand, “I know! Iknow!” she said, “To make the gravy!”

Remember the Old Days?

THE OLD PATHS

I liked the old paths, when
Moms were at home.
Dads were at work.
Brothers went into the army.
And sisters got married BEFORE having children!

Crime did not pay;
Hard work did;
And people knew the difference.
