Is your place special?

One day, a man went to visit a church, He got there early, parked his car and got out. Another car pulled up near the driver got out and said, ‘ I always park there! You took my place!’ The visitor went inside for Sunday School, found an empty seat and sat down. A young lady from the church approached him and stated, ‘That’s my seat! You took my place!’ The visitor was somewhat distressed by this rude welcome, but said nothing.

The Great I AM

Because Jesus is I Am

I was watching TV the other day and I heard a statement:”Because Jesus is I am”.
This statement can have 2 very strong meanings depending on the inflections of your voice or the placement of a comma.
When Moses asked God what name he could tell the Hebrews God said this.
Exo 3:14 And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.

So we could rightly say “…..Jesus is I AM”
For Jesus says:
I am the bread of life: John 6:35
I am the light of the world: John 8:12
I am the door: John 10:9
I am the good shepherd: John 10:11
I am the resurrection, and the life: John 11:25
I am the way, the truth, and the life:John 14:6
I am the vine, ye are the branches: John 15:5

If we place a pause or comma in that statement the meaning becomes personal.
Because Jesus is, I am:
forgiven:
redeemed:
a new creature in Christ:
delivered:
healed:
Loved:
a joint heir with Jesus Christ.

This is only the beginning,
1Jo 3:2 My dear friends, we are now God’s children, but it is not yet clear what we shall become. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he really is.

Maranatha come soon Lord Jesus

1Co 16:22 Whoever does not love the Lord—a curse on him! Marana tha—Our Lord, come!
1Co 16:23 The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you.

The Presence of God

“The light of God surrounds us.

The love of God enfolds us.

The power of God protects us.

The presence of God watches over us.

Wherever we are God is and all is well.”
