Where is Jesus?

Since the birth of Jesus, men have been searching for the Saviour.
There were the shepherds in the field, They found Him in a manger.
Luke 2:15 When the angels went away from them back into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us.”
Luke 2:16 So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph and saw the baby lying in the manger.

There was Simeon, searching for the salvation of Israel, he found Jesus in the Temple.
Luke 2:27 Led by the Spirit, Simeon went into the Temple. When the parents brought the child Jesus into the Temple to do for him what the Law required,
Luke 2:28 Simeon took the child in his arms and gave thanks to God:

There was also Anna, who proclaimed Jesus to all that were looking for the redemption in Jerusalem.
Luke 2:36 And there was one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Aser: she was of a great age, and had lived with an husband seven years from her virginity;
Luke 2:37 And she was a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day.
Luke 2:38 And she coming in that instant gave thanks likewise unto the Lord, and spake of him to all them that looked for redemption in Jerusalem.

Then there were the wise men, they found Jesus in Bethlehem under the Star.
Matt 2:1 Jesus was born in the town of Bethlehem in Judea, during the time when Herod was king. Soon afterward, some men who studied the stars came from the East to Jerusalem
Matt 2:2 and asked, “Where is the baby born to be the king of the Jews? We saw his star when it came up in the east, and we have come to worship him.”
&
Matt 2:9 And so they left, and on their way they saw the same star they had seen in the East. When they saw it, how happy they were, what joy was theirs! It went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was.

Some seek Jesus for the wrong reasons
Then there was Herod, he wanted to kill Jesus, so he was not allowed to find Jesus.
Matt 2:13 After they had left, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph and said, “Herod will be looking for the child in order to kill him. So get up, take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt, and stay there until I tell you to leave.”
There were those that wanted their desires of the flesh fulfilled, they do not find Jesus. This happens today too.
John 6:26 Jesus answered, “I am telling you the truth: you are looking for me because you ate the bread and had all you wanted, not because you understood my miracles.
Then there are the unbelievers, even today they desire to kill all knowledge of Jesus, in our schools etc.
John 8:37 I know you are Abraham’s descendants. Yet you are trying to kill me, because you will not accept my teaching.
Some may be like Mary, seeking the dead body of Jesus.
Mark 16:6 “Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “I know you are looking for Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is not here—he has been raised! Look, here is the place where he was placed.
Jesus can be Found
If anyone will seek Him with a pure heart, He can be found.
John 20:11 Mary stood crying outside the tomb. While she was still crying, she bent over and looked in the tomb
John 20:12 and saw two angels there dressed in white, sitting where the body of Jesus had been, one at the head and the other at the feet.
John 20:13 “Woman, why are you crying?” they asked her. She answered, “They have taken my Lord away, and I do not know where they have put him!”
John 20:14 Then she turned around and saw Jesus standing there; but she did not know that it was Jesus.
John 20:15
“Woman, why are you crying?” Jesus asked her. “Who is it that you are looking for?” She thought he was the gardener, so she said to him, “If you took him away, sir, tell me where you have put him, and I will go and get him.”
John 20:16
Jesus said to her, “Mary!” She turned toward him and said in Hebrew, “Rabboni!” (This means “Teacher.”)
Jesus is alive, the tomb is empty, death has been defeated.
Mark 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
Mark 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
Mark 16:18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
Mark 16:19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
Mark 16:20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.
Wise men still seek Him, Have you Found Jesus?
Do You believe in God’s only Son?

The Sacrifice of the Lamb

Rev 5:2 And I saw a mighty angel, who announced in a loud voice, “Who is worthy to break the seals and open the scroll?”
Rev 5:3 But there was no one in heaven or on earth or in the world below who could open the scroll and look inside it.
Rev 5:4 I cried bitterly because no one could be found who was worthy to open the scroll or look inside it.
Rev 5:5 Then one of the elders said to me, “Don’t cry. Look! The Lion from Judah’s tribe, the great descendant of David, has won the victory, and he can break the seven seals and open the scroll.”

Rev 5:9 They sang a new song: “You are worthy to take the scroll and to break open its seals. For you were killed, and by your sacrificial death you bought for God people from every tribe, language, nation, and race.

I believe that God’s original desire would have been for us to still be living in the Garden of Eden.
Adam spoiled it all for us didn’t he. I don’t believe that God’s basic desire for us has changed nor is that desire impossible.
Because of the fore knowledge of God, He knew the weakness of Adam, and He knew how He could reestablish the sweet fellowship between man and God.
God has a secondary plan for us.

Authority earned

Mat 21:10 When Jesus entered Jerusalem, the whole city was thrown into an uproar. “Who is he?” the people asked.
Mat 21:11 “This is the prophet Jesus, from Nazareth in Galilee,” the crowds answered.
Mat 21:12 Jesus went into the Temple and drove out all those who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the moneychangers and the stools of those who sold pigeons,
Mat 21:13 and said to them, “It is written in the Scriptures that God said, ‘My Temple will be called a house of prayer.’ But you are making it a hideout for thieves!”

After His triumphant Entry into Jersulem, Jesus went into the temple and cleansed it. This was the second cleansing that He did. In fact after the first time the Jewish authorities asked Him by what authority He did these things.

Don’t make the stones start shouting

As the end of His earthly ministry started drawing to fulfillment, Jesus began His triumphant entry into Jerusalem.

Luk 19:36 As he rode on, people spread their cloaks on the road.
Luk 19:37 When he came near Jerusalem, at the place where the road went down the Mount of Olives, the large crowd of his disciples began to thank God and praise him in loud voices for all the great things that they had seen:
Luk 19:38 “God bless the king who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven and glory to God!”
Luk 19:39 Then some of the Pharisees in the crowd spoke to Jesus. “Teacher,” they said, “command your disciples to be quiet!”
Luk 19:40 Jesus answered, “I tell you that if they keep quiet, the stones themselves will start shouting.”
