Oh how Time Changes


I can remember back at a time when an African-American would be persecuted and had little or no rights. I also remember a time when the act of homosexuality was a sin and the practicing homosexual was considered a sinner.

I also remember a time when marriage was a sacred union between a man and women. I also remember when it was a sin for a man and woman to have sex outside of marriage.

Some memories can show a dark past in our history, while other memories we still hold dear. I thank God for the gains that have been made in the civil rights for people of color.

But when homosexuals try to compare their persecutions to the civil rights protests that the African-Americans had, there is a gigantic difference.

Morality or the Economy

Looking back over the campaigning and elections, I had to do some hard thinking.
Christians and non-Christians alike seemed to place the economy before principles.
Has America set aside their important convictions? Have we become a people that is controlled by our pocketbook?
Does the righteousness of a “Christian Nation” take a back seat when the economy gets bad?
Do we value nice cars and homes more than the unborn babies that will die because of the abortion mills having their puppets in office?
Do we value easy living more than God’s view of marriage?
Are we willing to tolerate the homosexual lifestyle to dictate what our preachers can preach from the pulpit just so we can continue to be the wealthiest people on earth?

New President elect, now what?

In the past year frightening things have been said about Barack Obama.

From the company he keeps, (known terrorists, a preacher that seems to hate America, convicted felons) association with Acorn, questions about his citizenship, questions about his religion.  He has made statements of what he will do that chills many hearts.  Some thinks he bought the election with the unbelieveable size of the donations, (and where they came from).  His redistribution of wealth pleases some but worries many.  Will he lead us into a Socialist Government?  Will we lose the freedom we love?  Will we lose our Religious Freedom?  Will we lose the right to bear arms?
