We might say its the exchanging of gifts, symbolizing God giving His Son. We might say its remembering the birth of Jesus. Some might say its a time for parting and get together. Perhaps some may view it as a time for family reunions.
But just why do we have a time call Christmas? Many will tell you that Jesus was not born on Dec. 25. Defined it is call a Mass for Christ.(service for Christ).
But the real reason we have Christmas is because of SIN!
