When I read the newspapers or watch the news on TV, I see so much that is out right against the Christian beliefs that I hold so dear. Yet I still can rejoice in the Lord because I know that God will have the victory in the end. I have read the last chapter in the Bible and we WIN!!
But still when I read of someone like the openly homosexual Episcopal Bishop V. Gene Robinson to give the invocation at an inaugural event on Sunday, my heart is grieved. This man has miss led so many people. He has said , “I believe in my heart that the church got it wrong about homosexuality.”
Just that statement discredits the Bible and God. He places his heart above the authority of the Bible.
Jer.17:9 ” The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it?
I Cor.6:9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites,
I Cor.6:10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.
We will all have to give account of what we do in this life, but he will have to account for much more.
1 John 2:15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
1 John 2:16 For all that is in the world — the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life — is not of the Father but is of the world.
1 John 2:17 And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.
1 John 2:18 Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour.
1 John 2:19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us.
